Hello everyone and welcome to our first 'Inside Aurora' blog update. In this update you will get an in depth view on what to expect towards the release of the game and beyond release. We will also talk about what the game is about and why we cancelled our other project 'Project Venus'. You will also see some more POI locations on the world of Aurora as well. So let's go!
What happened to Project Venus?
Well we have so much information we want to tell you about why we cancelled the project but we can only give you the small details. Long story short, we hated the development process that was going into making Project Venus. We felt like we weren't able to show our true potential into making our games. So as a team, we decided to cancel the project and make a game that will satisfy our players. Giving them a world to roam around on, explore and build was the game we wanted to create. An open world creative sandbox is the type of game we wanted to make. So we did. Aurora: An Enchanted World is still in very early development but we can say the development process is going well and we can't wait to show you all what we have in store with the game.
So what inspired us to create Aurora: An Enchanted World?
Well there are multiple games that inspired us to create Aurora. A few of those games are Raft, Minecraft and The Legend of Zelda: BOTW. Those games were the major influences that helped shaped this game and we are so excited to show what kind of game we made. Aurora provides a breathtaking experience, all the villages you go to all the rune stones located around the map, this game will allow you to change how the map looks. Add your own buildings, create what you want to create! Castles, villages, houses you name it! We wanted to create a game where the player can feel free in. There are no rules to follow in the game, its just you and your imagination.
Will the game be free?
Of course! The game will release free to play on PC. We hope to make it to console but for now, we are headed for PC for the main time.
